Steve Braun brings Civil War history to life to illustrate these principles in action. Dressed in Union infantry battle gear, Steve encourages men to rise above the daily distractions of life and give “the last full measure of devotion” to God and their families. His presentation artfully blends biographical sketches, letters and diaries, period and reenactment photographs, music from the movie Gettysburg, and demonstrations of Civil War military equipment with a strong Christian message and passionate preaching. Changing the Course of History
This workshop challenges and encourages parents to view the raising and educating of their children as more than just preparing them to leave the nest, but rather as part of God’s plan to shape the course of history. Is your family young and the road ahead seems long and arduous? Are you in the midst of your journey and weary from the battle? This message will encourage you to persevere through the rough times and see the big picture of how your efforts fit into God’s eternal “grand scheme of things.” You will hear several personal examples and testimonies of how God has brought vision, purpose, and hope to the Braun family.
This workshop challenges Christian youths to see the choices they make in life today as stepping stones to a life wholly devoted to God. First, Scripture is examined to show that “God’s ways are not our ways” and that as Christians we are called to impact the world, not be of the world. Then we tackle the practical application of this truth in the face of real world pressures and temptations. The result is a thought-provoking challenge to young men and women to examine their hearts and behavior in light of God’s word.

This captivating and fast-paced workshop is designed to inspire young men and women to grow up and live a life of vision and purpose for God. Our youths should be preparing to join the battle for the faith before they leave home and establish their families. Yet, how many of them are launched into life with little direction, vision, or even the belief they can amount to anything significant? But God sees things differently and He does have a plan. Civil War examples focus on young men and women who displayed extremely high Christian character and showed remarkable courage and maturity in the face of desperate and life-threatening situations.
The Hand and Voice of God in Courtship/Betrothal
There is potential danger in an over-emphasis and rigid reliance on the "system" of courtship, betrothal, or any other method for finding a spouse. These concepts do provide excellent guidelines and principles, but what happens when God shows up in a way that doesn't fit our preconceived notions? This seminar focuses on helping you discern God's hand and voice in the courtship/betrothal process and set a foundation for a solid, successful marriage. This teaching is illustrated through the miraculous and humorous story of how God brought Steve and Karen Braun together 22 years ago, before courtship or betrothal were even known to them or popular topics in Christian circles.
